Such a Nice Dream?...A power source had been found, one of endless energy. Except something with it was terribly wrong.Such a Nice Dream?... by maonina
I woke up, refreshed from my not-very-long sleep. Almost instantly, I felt something wrong, as panic arose in me. The house was completely silent. I checked my alarm clock, because I had thought that I had woken up early, but it said 6:30 AM, Friday, September 12, 3034. Normally my house would be full of noise and voices from my parents and 3 older brothers (ages 15,18, and 20) by now, who would be getting ready for some hunting.
My family were a group of hunters that stretched back to when the Alpha was found, in 2028. A hunter was someone who dedicated him or herself to killing vamps and constantly opposing the government's decision to keep the Alpha. But now, there was absolutely no sound at all. I was strained, fully on alert, as I pulled my trench coat on and tiptoed downstairs, ready for anything.
Since the Alpha had been discovered, anyone that came near it had slowly mutated i
The ClimbMy wrist ached. The boring teacher with the weird accent droned on. My mind wandered to where I would rather be...The Climb by maonina
Rock climbing up a cliff. The cliff would be impossibly high and the walls so steep that no one could even imagine attempting to climb it. But I would. With the help of a fellow climber, named Amanda (who was younger but just as good at climbing as I was), we would scale and conquer this cliff.
The first step would be to prepare. We would get out harnesses, ropes, and other random supplies, half of which we really didn’t need, but brought it anyway, just in case.
Amanda would always say, “Better be safe than sorry, you never know what’s going to happen.”
Some supplies we didn’t have, so we just borrowed, rented, or bought them. Now we could start small.
Next, would be to boulder (rock climbing without harnesses or ropes) to get the feel and rhythm of climbing. We climbed and helped each other to the top of a small cliff only twenty feet high a
Golden Sun Rant HUGE SPOILERSThis will be extremely long, and is pretty much ALL spoilers. For anyone who won't be actually reading this, I'll basically be talking about the plot and the characters, and maybe a few of the bosses and places. Ok, here we go:Golden Sun Rant HUGE SPOILERS by animeheart-08
Dark Dawn was, overall, a very good game, even though it had it's fair share of bad points. It had great graphics and 3D effects that it used as a standard for the entire game. The plot was slightly standard, but it stayed true to the previous games as a good sequel should. HOWEVER: although the game stayed true to the previous games, it did NOT stay true to the plot at the beginning or the trailers. In those, it emphasized in great detail about the Psyenergy Vortexes. "OMG a Psyenergy Vortex WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!! OMG THE MOURNING MOON IS COMING OH NOES!!!" Is pretty much the dialogue (not including tutorials and background information) until you save Rief from being killed by monsters at the southern exit t
Breeze's Delivery Service Ch1Following the lighting of the Mars Beacon, and the shock that Vale is now buried, the eight heroes have been enjoying what they earned. They took a few weeks in Vault to rest from their tiring journey. Many of the Djinn took their leave now that their assistance was not needed, but some decided to stay with the adepts whom they considered good friends. It was decided by the mayors of both towns to expand the small town of Vault to accommodate the recently evicted people of Vale.Breeze's Delivery Service Ch1 by Zinc210
The ongoing period of rest was good for all of the young heroes, and they all enjoyed their time together. Eventually, Ivan and Sheba departed from Vault to return to Kalay and Lalivero respectively. They were accompanied by six of the Jupiter aligned Djinn, one of them whom everyone was more than glad to be rid of.
"Breeze is gone? Thank the gods!" yelled one overly enthusiastic Venus Djinni
"Finally!" exclaimed another, "I won't have to worry about replanting my garden every single day
