Such a Nice Dream?...A power source had been found, one of endless energy. Except something with it was terribly wrong.Such a Nice Dream?... by maonina
I woke up, refreshed from my not-very-long sleep. Almost instantly, I felt something wrong, as panic arose in me. The house was completely silent. I checked my alarm clock, because I had thought that I had woken up early, but it said 6:30 AM, Friday, September 12, 3034. Normally my house would be full of noise and voices from my parents and 3 older brothers (ages 15,18, and 20) by now, who would be getting ready for some hunting.
My family were a group of hunters that stretched back to when the Alpha was found, in 2028. A hunter was someone who dedicated him or herself to killing vamps and constantly opposing the government's decision to keep the Alpha. But now, there was absolutely no sound at all. I was strained, fully on alert, as I pulled my trench coat on and tiptoed downstairs, ready for anything.
Since the Alpha had been discovered, anyone that came near it had slowly mutated i
The ClimbMy wrist ached. The boring teacher with the weird accent droned on. My mind wandered to where I would rather be...The Climb by maonina
Rock climbing up a cliff. The cliff would be impossibly high and the walls so steep that no one could even imagine attempting to climb it. But I would. With the help of a fellow climber, named Amanda (who was younger but just as good at climbing as I was), we would scale and conquer this cliff.
The first step would be to prepare. We would get out harnesses, ropes, and other random supplies, half of which we really didn’t need, but brought it anyway, just in case.
Amanda would always say, “Better be safe than sorry, you never know what’s going to happen.”
Some supplies we didn’t have, so we just borrowed, rented, or bought them. Now we could start small.
Next, would be to boulder (rock climbing without harnesses or ropes) to get the feel and rhythm of climbing. We climbed and helped each other to the top of a small cliff only twenty feet high a
Sheba's Saviour: Part ISheba huffed. And she puffed. And she would have blown down the house containing her idiot stepfather Babi, a task in which she would get immense help from her wind Psynergy, if not for the fact that she was on a ship out in the middle of the Karagol Sea, which, despite all of Shebas pleadings to expedite the trip with Psynergy, remained at its stable half-rowing, half-sailing speed. As much as she wanted to send a roaring tempest across the sea to greet and, hopefully, kill, Babi, Sheba would kill herself in the struggle of keeping the storm from waning; therefore, with silent curses against her stepfather and vows to give him a piece of her mind once they arrived, Sheba decided to wait things out.Sheba's Saviour: Part I by Xemnas-Blades
Sheba was now sailing home to Tolbi after a little less than a week spent at Vault with her friends. Then a messenger came to inform Sheba that Babi was anxious to see her and that she should head home immediately. Despite h
